MEET THE BAND

CW2 Franklin Montenegro

Chief Montenegro was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Ecuador, before moving to Manchester, NH. He has been the commander of the 39th Army Band from December 2020 to the Present and is the Internal Review Chief of the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Chief plays the Electric Guitar in our Rock Band and enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family on trips.

1SG Greggory Chapman

1SG Gregg Chapman, a Euphonium player, and vocalist in our Rock band. Born and raised in Laconia NH, and raised in Gilford NH. Before joining the 39th Army Band he attended Gilford High School, where he spent most of his time playing baseball and enjoying the lake life with friends. He now resides in Manchester, NH with his wife and 3 children. He joined the NHARNG in January 2007 and currently has 15 years of service. During these years he has served multiple assignments throughout the NHARNG including Joint Force Headquarters for New Hampshire, Operational Support and Airlift Detachment 18, 197th Fires Brigade, and the Joint Special Operations Task Force - Afghanistan. SFC Chapman has been on two deployments (Operation New Dawn in Kuwait and Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan). He enjoys making sure the people he works with are taken care of. He enjoys Formula 1, baseball, gaming, and spending time with his wife and beautiful children.

SFC Rayanna Boewe

SFC Rayanna Boewe is a Saxophonist from Canterbury, New Hampshire. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire and now works in the civilian sector. In her free time SFC Boewe enjoys spending time with her husband, cats, and perfecting her art.

SFC Alexandria Tichy

SFC Alexandria Tichy is one of our Flute and Piccolo players. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in Flute performance. In her free time SFC Tichy enjoys spending time with family and reconnecting with nature while riding her horse.

SFC Chazz Rogers

SFC Chazz Rogers is a multifaceted musician who performs on bass guitar, saxophone, guitar, and flute! He is the band director for Hollis-Brookline High School and earned his B.M. in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. In his free time he enjoys drinking seltzer water, hiking, and advocating for public transportation.
